Luka Doncic’s Current Feelings On Staying With Lakers

Luka Doncic's Current Feelings On Staying With Lakers

Luka Doncic has been adjusting well to his new role with the Los Angeles Lakers since his move from the Dallas Mavericks. He’s currently averaging 23.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game while shooting 40.0% from the field.

Despite initial concerns about the transition, Doncic is reportedly feeling more comfortable and appreciated with each passing game.

“He’s feeling more and more comfortable with every passing day. He just moved in a few days ago in Los Angeles,” said Shams Charania this week.

“The most important part for Luka Doncic has been what he’s told people around him, as well as Jeanie Buss, the Lakers owner, which is that he’s felt more and more appreciative and comfortable with how the Lakers have surrounded him with support, with inclusion in the process of everything.

“This has been a true partnership that they are trying to develop, and that means a lot for his long-term future for the Lakers, and they hope he’s gonna be a part of this next decade of Lakers-Celtics rivalry games.”

His Lakers teammates have quickly recognized the benefits of playing alongside him, even though they’ve only shared the court for 11 games together.

Doncic has recently leased a new home in Los Angeles, suggesting his commitment to settling into the Lakers organization. This move appears to be paying dividends for the team’s recent success, which Doncic himself has commented on with characteristic emotional intelligence.
