LeBron James’ Brutally Honest Take On Steph Curry, Kevin Durant
LeBron James had the unique opportunity to play alongside Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant in the 2024 Olympics.
He has made it abundantly clear since then that it was an experience he deeply cherished.
This week a reporter asked James about playing with Durant and Curry on Team USA, and whether he felt like they could possibly not win gold at some point.
“How do you lose?” James asked.

When the reporter countered that Team USA definitely looked vulnerable at certain points, James wasn’t having it.
“Shoulda, coulda, woulda, but we didn’t,” he replied. “You have myself, KD, and Steph. You have that type of firepower at any minute, at any moment. You’ve seen throughout the whole summer. We all got our opportunities. You saw what Steph did in the gold medal game. You see what he was doing in the semi-finals.
“You see what KD was doing when he came back from his short little injury,” LeBron continued. “And I was able to sprinkle in my moments throughout the whole summer. But I mean, how do you lose when you have three of the best players to ever play the game of basketball?”
While James’ bravado is admirable, it is worth remembering that a lot of people believe their game against Serbia was rigged. Even an Olympic referee confirmed it.
Nevertheless – history is written by winners. And since James won a gold at the 2024 Olympics, he is fit to rewrite history in whatever way he deems fit.
