Kevin Durant isn’t letting the noise surrounding his future with the Brooklyn Nets slow down his offseason workout regimen.
Last season the 33-year-old averaged 29 points per game (his best since his 2013-14 run with the Oklahoma City Thunder) on 51.8 percent shooting from the field and 38.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
Statistically, he was solid. But obviously the way the season ended left him with a desire to get better. And that has apparently led to him working out like crazy this summer.
This week, photos emerged of Durant looking incredibly jacked:

Regardless of where Durant ends up in 2022-23, be it Brooklyn or elsewhere, he looks ready to put in some serious work.
The Nets’ preferred path in all this is clear, what is less certain is how aggressive Durant will be in dictating the terms of his own future.
Adrian Wojnarowski recently revealed the one team most determined to land Durant, but a desire to acquire him and the ability to do so are two different things.

Either way, Durant was at times the best player in the NBA last year. And that was coming off an injury and before this summer’s clearly intense training routine.
No matter who he plays for in 2022-23, whoever he plays against is going to be in trouble every time he takes the floor.
