Kentucky came into this year’s NCAA Tournament with a lot of hype.
Many thought that this might be the run that would catapult John Calipari and Co. back into a power position within the larger college basketball zeitgeist.
Unfortunately, that didn’t end up happening. The Wildcats lost to the 80-76. For those keeping track at home, Kentucky has now failed to make the Sweet 16 every year since 2019 and is 1-4 in its last five NCAA Tournament games.
Despite a $33 million buyout, Calipari is set to be fired. But that isn’t the main story coming out of Thursday’s outing.
Rather, what everyone couldn’t stop talking about on Friday morning was one particular Kentucky fan that got identified on social media:

Needless to say, a star was born on Thursday night.
It will be interesting to see what she does with her newfound popularity.
At least the Wildcats can take solace in having one thing go their way this week – they birthed a new social media celebrity.
What awaits Kentucky basketball once March Madness wraps up in a few weeks? Time will tell.
