John Wall is one of the most influential point guards of his generation. Although he never enjoyed the sort of team success that some of his counterparts did, at his athletic peak, he was one of the league’s most exciting players.
Last season Wall spent some time with the Los Angeles Clippers before ultimately being traded to the Houston Rockets in a three-team deal. The Rockets subsequently waived him three days later.
Since then – Wall’s future has been murky. No NBA team has shown any real interest in him. At one point two squads (including the Los Angeles Lakers) seemed like they could be possible fits – but then all conversations fizzled out before anything materialized.
This week Wall appeared on Shams Charania’s show and revealed one NBA team he would definitely be interested in joining.
“Me and Brad [Beal] are still brothers, we still talk a lot…If I could join their team, for sure, I would love that.”@JohnWall tells @ShamsCharania that he would love to be united with Bradley Beal.

Fan reaction to Wall’s interest in the Phoenix Suns was mixed. Some felt like Bradley Beal owned it to him to help him get a roster spot; others didn’t.
@RealDealBeal23 make that happen for your brother to join forces with the Suns

Yoo idk about that one. Suns don’t need a me me guy on their squad. Book Beal KD are all about ball.

If any team in the league could use some additional backcourt depth it is definitely the Suns.
The question is just whether Wall is truly the right fit.

One way or another, the question of where Wall goes from here will be answered this season. If he doesn’t get another opportunity in the NBA in 2023, he likely never will again.
