Joel Embiid Called Out For Flopping During Free Throw

Joel Embiid Called Out For Flopping During Free Throw

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Miami Heat 105-104 on Wednesday night.

In the process, they advanced in the NBA’s play-in tournament and will now face off against the New York Knicks in the opening round of the playoffs.

Embiid finished with 23 points and 15 rebounds in the outing, but one moment in particular really stood out in people’s minds after the fact.

It involved Embiid somehow, inexplicably, flopping at the free throw line.

Last season, Embiid disappointed a lot of people when he failed to do much of anything in the playoffs.

Many felt it invalidated his MVP win.

Now with that pressure off him, it will be interesting to see if the Sixers can make some noise in the postseason.
