Jeremy Lin may be out of the NBA, but he is still very familiar with one of the two teams competing in this year’s Finals.
The Golden State Warriors have served as unique bookends for Lin’s nine-year NBA run. He started his career with them in 2010-11, and then won his lone title against them with the Toronto Raptors in 2019.
Along the way, Lin has been hyped as a potential pickup for the Warriors on multiple occasions and has had several workouts with the team.
Because of that, he knows Stephen Curry well. And on the heels of the Warriors choking away Game 1 of the NBA Finals to the Boston Celtics, Lin took to social media to address what that meant for Curry.
I hope Steph Curry wins the championship and finals MVP. But make no mistake about it, he does NOT need a finals MVP to validate his career by any means

Reactions to Lin’s assessment came swiftly in his Twitter replies:
People do say he needs this FMVP tho?

No… Curry already is top-10 all-time. He’s done enough, his game has done enough.

Lin has never been shy about expressing his opinion. Whether he is calling out NBA bullies or mentally preparing to “destroy” legends – he always keeps it real.
And he also isn’t one to back down. There’s a reason why him and Kobe Bryant went four months without speaking. He sticks by his guns.

What will Lin ultimately go viral for next?
Time will tell.
