Ime Udoka and the Houston Rockets don’t seem to be huge fans of LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
During a match-up between L.A. and Houston a few days ago, Udoka got into it with James. Their confrontation was intense enough to warrant the Rockets coach getting ejected.
In the aftermath, James revealed what precisely had transpired between them.
As for Udoka, he seems less concerned with James and more concerned with getting beaten down by a squad of the Lakers’ caliber.
Coach Udoka was not happy with the Rockets effort.

“To kinda get punked by a team that’s not known for physicality or punking people is not a good sign,” Udoka said.
Ouch.
Fans didn’t have much trouble reading between the lines there.

Calling it like he sees it. Lakers are soft and we were softer. Dlo picking guys and talking trash after, Reaves grabbing offensive Rebs and cooking us. We were just soft tonight

Since when did the Rockets become tough?! This is a trash and soft team. Dillon Brooks is an actor, jalen green is sus… Nothing about this team is tough. They’re scrappy because they aren’t talented. Doesn’t make them tough.

Clearly there is some bad blood simmering between the Lakers and Rockets. How legit this feud will ultimately become depends a lot on whether Houston can actually become a winning basketball team or not.
James and Co., for all their faults, made it to the Western Conference Finals last season. The Rockets have a long way to go before they get there.

Still, you have to respect Udoka’s feistiness.
Will Udoka be able to get his get-back on James and the Lakers at some point? Time will tell.
