Bronny Gets Brutally Honest About Rough Lakers Preseason Showing
Bronny James was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.
Thus far – he hasn’t been great.
Fresh off averaging less than 5 points per game during his collegiate run at USC, many were hoping to see him do more at the pro level. Unfortunately, it has been more of the same in preseason.
So far Bronny is averaging under 1 point and under 1 assist per game. He is also shooting less than 10 percent from the field.
This week, Bronny reflected on his poor preseason.
“I feel like that’s the most important thing, just to grow my confidence and be more comfortable while I’m out there playing,”
he said.

“I feel good. The numbers could be better. I just got to get my confidence up.”
Bronny also admits that he needs to make the leap from playing well in practice to playing well in real games.
“It’s a totally different game, especially out in arenas like this. I’m just trying to get myself comfortable as much as I can.”
Some have been really hard on Bronny. Others have been very hard on the Lakers for drafting him.
But what’s done is done.
What sort of player will Bronny ultimately become for the Lakers? Time will tell.
