Atlanta Hawks Star Injured In Car Accident
An Atlanta Hawks star was injured in a car accident this week.
On Wednesday, Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports reported that small forward Chandler Parsons was involved in an afternoon car accident.
Parsons suffered a concussion and whiplash as a result of the crash.
The Hawks reported that their veteran would enter the concussion protocol, per league rules.
The accident reportedly occurred following an Atlanta team practice.
As a result of the crash and subsequent injuries, Parsons did not travel with the Hawks for its game against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.

As of Wednesday evening, no timetable for Parsons’ return has been offered.
The team will continue to monitor his condition and make a judgement call on when he can come back in the coming days.
Parsons has played in five games for Atlanta this year, averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds per outing. He is currently on the last year of a $94 million contract he signed with the Memphis Grizzlies.
