Controversy erupted this weekend when Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky faced off against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
As usual, Clark prevailed over Reese – but not without a bit of drama souring the proceedings.
Midway through the game, one of Reese’s teammates, Chennedy Carter, brutally assaulted Clark.
Not a good look for the “Caitlin Clark isn’t hated” crowd…

This cheap shot earned praise from Reese during and after the game. She seemed to find nothing wrong with and opted to defend Carter in the aftermath.
One person who disagreed with Reese, though? Her own head coach, Teresa Weatherspoon.
“(She) understands that there are better ways to handle situations on the court, and she will learn from this, as we all will,” Weatherspoon said.

Clearly both Reese and Carter have some very deep-seeded and unfortunate issues that they need to work through.
How much longer will they take out their unfiltered aggression on Clark without any sort of proper pushback from the WNBA’s officials? Time will tell.
