Nationals Take Brutal Shot At Bryce Harper After Clinching World Series

The Nationals took a brutal shot at Bryce Harper after clinching a World Series slot.

Coming into the postseason, many expected the Los Angeles Dodgers to make quick work of Washington en route to another World Series run.

Instead, the Nationals systematically beat them down over the course of five games before ultimately stunning them on their own home field.

In the next round, Washington decided to prove that what happened in Los Angeles wasn’t a fluke by sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals 4-0.

Following Tuesday evening’s series-clinching 7-4 victory over St. Louis, the Nationals’ Twitter account decided to take a brutal shot at Bryce Harper.

“We want to bring a title back to D.C.” the team’s Twitter account wrote.

You will recall, during his introductory press conference with the Philadelphia Phillies, Harper had a slip of the tongue and said he hopes to bring a title back to D.C.

Harper of course famously opted to ditch the Nationals for the Phillies after the latter squad offered him a 13-year, $330 million contract.

Needless to say, the jilted Nationals still haven’t over it.
