Field of Dreams Game 2026: Phillies vs. Twins in Iowa, Streaming Exclusively on Netflix
Baseball’s most cinematic annual event is back. The 2026 MLB at Field of Dreams game returns to Dyersville, Iowa on Thursday night, with the Philadelphia Phillies facing the Minnesota Twins in a matchup streaming exclusively on Netflix.
First pitch is 7:30 p.m. ET, with pregame coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. This is the third edition of the Field of Dreams game, and the first ever to stream exclusively on a subscription platform rather than a traditional broadcast network.
The Twins are the designated home team. Both teams will wear special throwback jerseys as part of the game’s aesthetic. Philadelphia will wear gray uniforms inspired by their 1939-41 designs. Minnesota will wear their original 1960s jerseys from the franchise’s early Twin Cities era. The Netflix broadcast is the story that goes beyond the field, though. This is Netflix’s biggest live MLB event yet and continues the streamer’s push into live sports content. If this game draws well, expect Netflix to bid aggressively on more marquee MLB games in future negotiating cycles.
The concerns about Netflix live sports have been mostly technical. Their Tyson vs. Paul boxing event had streaming issues at various points. Their NFL Christmas Day games were much smoother. The Field of Dreams game will be another test of whether Netflix can handle high-profile live sports without buffering nightmares.
