McKayla Maroney’s Wild Elevator Video Causes A Stir

McKayla Maroney’s Wild Elevator Video Causes A Stir

McKayla Maroney is widely regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of her generation.

As a pivotal member of the “Fierce Five” at the 2012 London Olympics, Maroney made a big splash both on and off the mats.

On them, she earned a silver medal in the individual vault and gold in the team event.

Off them, Maroney created a brand that has stood the time of time more than 10 years after the fact.

This week Maroney showcased just how much staying power she has as a influencer and prominent personality with two telling posts to social media.

The first was a video of her in an elevator.

The second was imagery from the video.

Fans went absolutely wild over both.

“That outfit is amazing,” one person wrote.

“You’re beautiful,” another person agreed.

“More than beautiful,” a third chimed in.

This obviously isn’t the first time in recent months Maroney has blown up online in this fashion. Between her recent provocative modeling photos, wild poolside video and eye-catching Grammys outfit, she has been a permanent fixture in the news cycle.

A lot has been made about LSU star Olivia Dunne over the past year, and understandably so. Her recent bedroom photos speak for themselves. But there is a fair case to be made that Maroney walked so that Dunne could run.

There would be no seven-figure NIL deals for female collegiate gymnastics stars if Maroney hadn’t created the path to marketability and branding that she ultimately created.

Even though she has long since called it quits, Maroney continues to be a permanent fixture in news cycles.

Her place in the larger cultural zeitgeist is beyond reproach.

What will Maroney ultimately go viral for next? Time will tell.
