Luka Doncic has a long and storied history with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Two years ago, he was involved in a messy racial incident with the team during their playoff showdown. Last season, his squad choked away an initial advantage in the first-round of the playoffs only to get bounced in seven games. This summer, during the unveiling of their new arena, Clippers players openly mocked Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks with their sweatshirts.
All of that caused tensions to spike on Friday, when the Mavericks faced off against the Clippers in a preseason outing.
Early in the second quarter with the score knotted at 33, Terance Mann blocked Doncic and then drew an offensive foul on him. The Clippers youngster celebrated what had just happened, which didn’t sit well with Doncic.

It’s safe to say the Clippers are definitely living rent-free in Doncic’s head at this point.
Fortunately for Dallas, the team was able to get its composure together and ultimately emerge from the affair with a 122-114 victory.

This is going to be a big year for the Mavericks. New head coach Jason Kidd has already raised some eyebrows with his odd plan for Doncic, so it will be interesting to see how that works out for all parties involved.
