LSU vs Georgia X-Factor Revealed By ESPN

An LSU vs Georgia X-Factor has been revealed by ESPN.

Heading into Saturday’s big showdown between the Tigers and Bulldogs, the big question mark is whether the latter team has enough firepower to beat the former.

Obviously Georgia’s defense is top-notch – one of the best in the nation. But the Bulldogs also have not faced an offense that has been firing on all cylinders the way LSU’s has.

Even if Georgia is able to slow LSU down, they will still need to be able to put a certain amount of points on the board.

Their ability or inability to do that will determine whether they will be able to emerge successful.

While appearing on his podcast this week, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit offered up an x-factor of sorts for Georgia that could tip the balance in the Bulldogs’ favor this weekend.

“Any time you have a quarterback who’s been into battle as many times as Jake Fromm has, you always have a chance,” Herbstreit said.

“LSU and Joe Burrow’s offense against that defense from Georgia? Man, that is must-see TV right there. I can’t wait to watch that. That’s going to be awesome.

“You’ve got a great defense, and you’ve got Jake Fromm. And you’ve got D’Andre Swift. Even though he’s banged up, he’s more than capable.”

The stakes for Georgia are clear. Win and lock up a berth in the College Football Playoff. Lose and go home with nothing.

Will that be motivation enough for the Bulldogs to dig deep and pull off the upset?

We will find out once and for all during the SEC Championship Game.
