The Charlotte Hornets are 19-18 through 37 games and sit sixth in the Eastern Conference. One big reason for the team’s stunning improvement this year is rookie LaMelo Ball.
Ball is averaging 15.8 points, 6.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds per game so far and is the clear frontrunner to win Rookie of the Year in 2021.
Unfortunately, it’s not all good news for the young star.
This week, Ball learned about the dark side of fame that emerging players are often warned about.
According to awesemo.com, someone is claiming to have an intimate video of the youngest ball brother.
While it’s unfortunate that Ball now has to deal with this, it was probably to be expected. Broken trust and clout chasing is the unfortune side-effect of the money and fame that comes with being an NBA player.
On the bright side – it’s now beyond any shred of doubt that Ball is legitimate star.
He has earned strong praise from the likes of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, LeBron James of the LA Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers.

Aside from getting into one bizarre physical altercation with a teammate, Ball has put together a flawless rookie campaign. Michael Jordan’s recent comments speak for themselves.
Obviously it’s sad that he now has to deal with this sort of off-the-court drama, but at least everything else in Ball’s life is going pretty great right now.
