Halloween came and went this week with a lot of NBA players doing it very big for the occasion.
The Los Angeles Lakers, as a team, had some memorable outfits. Same with Karl-Anthony Towns, Jordyn Woods and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
But one player quite clearly separated himself from the pack this year.
That player? Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo. The photos of his costume choice speak for themselves:

Not only is going as a plastic green soldier an amazing idea, it was executed to absolute perfection.
This has been something of an interesting season for Rondo so far. He was brought back by LA to be a stabilizing presence for the squad both on and off the court.

In some ways he has done that, as evidenced by his repaired relationship with Russell Westbrook. In other ways he hasn’t, as was on display when he got into a fight with a courtside fan.
When the Lakers won their championship two years ago, Rondo’s veteran leadership in the playoffs was a key reason why. That is why he’s here – he proves his worth when it matters most.
Will that happen again in 2021-22? Time will tell.
