Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets are embroiled in something of a stalemate. He wants out. The team insists it wants to deal him. But to date, nothing has materialized.
In recent days speculation has started about how far Durant is willing to go to force Brooklyn’s hand.
Would he hold out? Would he retire? The answer remains unclear.
With his basketball prospects very much up in the air, Durant seems to have decided that this is the perfect time for a little rest and relaxation.
This week, photos emerged of him on vacation surrounded by a bunch of women. For obvious reasons, they immediately went viral:

Mind you, this isn’t the first time in recent months photos of Durant out clubbing and having a good time have set the internet ablaze. Clearly he isn’t letting his various offseason headaches bring him down.
On Tuesday, the Nets’ most recent asking price for Durant came out. To date no one has come close to matching it.
At the moment there appears to be one clear frontrunner for his services and one team most ‘determined’ to land Durant.
Whether any of that will actually lead to a trade occurring in the foreseeable future remains unclear.

The next few months promise to be the most consequential of Durant’s career. What happens next for him will have massive ramifications not only on his legacy, but on the general makeup of the NBA.
Where will Durant be playing come this time next year?
