Is Justin Fuente to Baylor a done deal?
The Bears lost head coach Matt Rhule to the Carolina Panthers one week ago. Now the program is on the mend.
According to Pete Thamel of Yahoo! Sports, Baylor is targeting Justin Fuente of Virginia Tech to step into the vacancy left behind by Rhule.

Fuente has spent the last four years with the Hokies. In that time, he has put together a record of 33-20 and led the team to an 8-5 mark this past season.
Prior to joining Virginia Tech, the 43-year-old spent four years at Memphis and amassed a record of 26 wins and 23 losses. In his last two years with the program, he went 10-3 and 9-3.
This past season with Rhule at the helm Baylor went 11-3 and made it to the Big 12 Championship Game.
While Oklahoma remains the class of the conference, Baylor is unquestionably the second best team in the Big 12 at this stage. Texas is not even close.
Will Fuente ultimately be able to keep Baylor at the levels Rhule was able to achieve? Time will tell.
