Floyd Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend Josie Harris was found dead on Monday night.

The 40-year-old mother of Mayweather’s three children was found unresponsive in a car outside her home. Police were immediately called in, but there was nothing they could do.

According to TMZ, investigators currently do not believe there was any foul play involved in the death. Presently, it is being treated as a death investigation and not a homicide investigation.

Harris previously accused Mayweather of assaulting her on multiple occasions. After one particular incident, in 2010, Mayweather served a 90-day jail sentence.

Prior to that, Harris accused Mayweather of assaulting her in 2005 – but she ultimately ended up dropping those charges and insisting she was lying.

Harris had recently filed a $20 million lawsuit against Mayweather that both were headed to court over later this year. The lawsuit stemmed from an interview with Katie Couric where Mayweather denied beating Harris in 2010. He insisted that he had tried to restrain Harris because she was on drugs.

Obviously Mayweather’s version of events served in stark contrast to the report from the incident.

Mayweather has yet to issue a public comment on Harris’ passing.
