Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns has had himself quite the week.
Towns and his squad defeated the San Antonio Spurs 149-139 on Monday night. In the process, the former Kentucky standout scored 60 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.
On the night, Towns shot 19-for-31 overall and 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. Along the way, he also became the first player in league history to hit the marks of 60 points, 15 rebounds and 60 percent 3-point shooting in an outing.
One person who loved Towns’ effort? His girlfriend and social media influencer, Jordyn Woods.

In that spirit, Woods going viral over her response to Towns’ big night is relatively unsurprising.
Big picture, it will be interesting to see where Towns goes from here. He just became the first center with a 60-point game since Shaquille O’Neal had 61 for the Lakers in March 2000.
It has been a while since a big man with this sort of offensive prowess has been in the NBA.
The question now is what Towns will be able to do on a team level. The Timberwolves desperately need to make the playoffs this year and do some damage.

If they do, then Towns will officially claim his flowers as one of the league’s premiere players.
