Jon Gruden Has Special Message For Raiders Fans

Jon Gruden has a special message for Raiders fans.

On Sunday, the Raiders played their final game in Oakland. It was a forgettable affair, with the home team showing little life against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fans were irritated by what they saw on the field and the fact that their beloved franchise was moving to Las Vegas in 2020.

As a result, once everything ended, some fans could be seen throwing trash onto the field.

After the game, Gruden had a message for his fans: I’m sorry.

“I’d like to say we could have sent the Raiders fans off with a lot better finish than that,” he said.

“I think, most importantly, before we talk about the game, I’d like to thank the fans. I’d like to thank the city of Oakland for supporting the Raiders and being faithful in all kinds of seasons.

“I’ll miss them. I love them and I’m sorry about the outcome today, but I think that’s something that needs to be said. An exclamation point.”

Gruden did not stop there.

“I really apologize that we weren’t able to deliver a victory.”

The Raiders were up by 13 at halftime before ultimately choking away the lead.

It was just the latest disappointment in a season full of them for Oakland fans.
