Head football coach Jim Harbaugh has taken a pay cut from Michigan. The school made the announcement regarding this matter late Monday afternoon.

“Full-time staff members earning between $50,000-$100,000 will have salaries reduced by five percent, and employees earning between $100,001-$150,000 will have wages reduced by 7.5 percent during the same period,” the statement noted.

“Staff earning less than $50,000 will not see any reduction in pay.”

Both Harbaugh and head basketball coach Juwan Howard will accept 10 percent reductions in salary.

Over the course of five years with the Wolverines Harbaugh has led the football program to a 47-18 mark. Last year, the team went 9-4.
