Jemele Hill Accused Of Transphobia After Trying To Cancel Barstool Sports

Jemele Hill was accused of transphobia this week after she tried to cancel Barstool Sports.

On Sunday, a video emerged on Twitter of Dave Portnoy, Kevin ‘KFC’ Clancy and Dan ‘Big Cat’ Katz discussing Colin Kaepernick, Arabs and Palestinians in a way that some determined was indelicate.

As such, the video began to trend. Shortly thereafter, Hill decided to comment on the video with a dig at Portnoy and his team.

“This is terrible, but then again, consider the source,” she wrote.

Shortly thereafter, Portnoy responded by retweeting a screenshotted tweet that appears to have come from Hill that some have described as transphobic.

“My FB friends are calling him ‘Manny the tranny’ … so inappropriate and hilarious,” the tweet reads.

As of the time of this writing, Hill has yet to defend herself against the accusations of transphobia that have been made against her.

Conversely, Portnoy and Clancy have both responded to the controversy surrounding Kaepernick.

It will be interesting to see if there is any significant backlash towards Hill, given that she currently has a new show in the works on Vice.
