Jim Harbaugh Has Strong Words For Alabama, Nick Saban

Jim Harbaugh has some strong words for Alabama, Nick Saban ahead of Wednesday’s Citrus Bowl showdown.

Heading into New Year’s Day, all eyes will be on Harbaugh and Saban as the pair lead their teams into a match-up that nobody was really expecting.

Alabama was considered a guaranteed participant in the National Championship Game during the preseason, so the program’s mere presence in this outing is a disappointment.

Michigan, meanwhile, was named as a dark horse College Football Playoff team with Urban Meyer gone, but ended up playing Alabama after yet another underwhelming campaign.

Less than 24 hours before kickoff, Harbaugh spoke to the media regarding how “fired up” he was to coach against a team like the Crimson Tide.

“There’s just a lot of excitement to play an iconic program like Alabama,” he said.

“Coach Saban, his staff have really set the bar. Elite program, great football team and it’s a big challenge for us.

“But a great opportunity for our season, this 2019 season, and I feel good now that the game’s getting close to kickoff.”

If by some miracle Michigan pulls off the upset victory here, it would undoubtedly be the biggest win of Harbaugh’s Michigan career.

Will it happen, though? Probably not.
