Jerry Jones Gives Surprising Dak Prescott Injury Update

Jerry Jones gave a surprising Dak Prescott injury update this week.

Prescott has been dealing with an unexpected shoulder injury all week.

It remains unclear at this point if he will get a single full practice in before this weekend’s looming showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Dallas Cowboys currently sit atop the NFC East, and can clinch a postseason berth with a victory against their divisional rival.

Given how much acrimony and stress there has been this year with the Cowboys, a victory against Philadelphia would be monumental to gather some semblance of momentum.

Unfortunately, a lot of Dallas’ fate is tied to Prescott’s performance. And Prescott’s performance will be directly influenced by how his shoulder is feeling.

In an interview with the Dallas Morning News this week, Jones was pressed on his star quarterback’s injury.

Would it effect him come this weekend?

According to Jones, the answer is no.

“I’m totally convinced that he’ll be in top form, and we’ve got to have him in top form, and he will be in top form,” Jones said.

“I think we’re in good shape.”

If Prescott’s injury is worse than advertised and Dallas comes up short versus Philly, a playoff berth would not necessarily be out of the picture.

It would just require a victory over the Washington Redskins next week, and a Philly loss to the New York Giants.

Will Prescott be able to power through and lead his team to the playoffs? We’ll find out once and for all come this weekend.
