Jason Garrett On Verge Of New NFL Job

Jason Garrett is on the verge of a new NFL job.

Fresh on the heels of not being asked to return to the Dallas Cowboys, the team’s former head coach is preparing to make a move.

It was said that Garrett’s contract stated that he could not interview with other teams until January 14 of this year. That deadline has come and gone.

The New York Giants are reportedly interviewing Garrett this week to serve as an offensive coordinator under new head coach Joe Judge.

It has previously been reported that New York initially reached out to Garrett to interview for the head coaching position that ultimately ended up going to Judge.

In his first year with Dallas, Garrett turned the team’s aerial and ground attacks into some of the NFL’s best. That season, the Cowboys finished No. 2 in the league in offense.

Earlier this week Judge hired his defensive coordinator, Patrick Graham, from the Miami Dolphins.

It remains to be seen if Garrett will ultimately be able to lock down the coordinator role, but he is said to still be widely respected across the NFL as an offensive tactician.

The Cowboys finished last season 8-8 with Garrett at the helm.
