Is Jason Garrett bringing a Cowboys star to the Giants?

Garrett was hired by Joe Judge this past week to serve as New York’s new offensive coordinator.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Garrett may not be coming from the Cowboys alone.

Tight end Jason Witten reportedly has interest in playing in 2020, and Dallas appears set to go in a different direction.

As such, there is now a chance that Garrett and his favorite tight end will team up in a new locale.

The 37-year-old Witten came back to football this past year after an unsuccessful stint as a Monday Night Football broadcaster for ESPN.

In 2019, Witten amassed 529 yards and four scores on 63 receptions.

With Garrett at the helm of New York’s offense, Witten could find new life with the Giants.

Between Daniel Jones’ passing and Saquon Barkley’s defense-busting rushing attack, there would theoretically be a lot of opportunities for Witten to make his mark in the Big Apple.

Witten will likely make a final decision on his 2020 status at some point in the next few weeks.

If he opts to continue playing, the recruitment period for his services will officially commence at that point.
