Jalen Hurts Has Message For Alabama Ahead Of Bowl Game

Jalen Hurts has a message for Alabama head of its bowl game: thank you.

Hurts has had a fantastic season with Oklahoma after transferring over from Alabama, but he has not forgotten his Crimson Tide roots.

Speaking to reporters recently, Hurts admitted that it meant a lot to him that Alabama fans have continued to be so supportive of him this season.

Hurts made the decision to transfer from Alabama after falling behind Tua Tagovailoa on the depth chart. He served as a stellar backup for the program last year, but acknowledged that he had aspirations to be a starter this season.

As such, Hurts and Alabama parted on very positive terms.

This week, while doing media for the Peach Bowl, Hurts had nothing but nice things to say about Alabama and the program’s fans.

“I appreciate the support that they’ve shown this entire year,” he said.

“I appreciate it genuinely. I think that says it all, the fact that they’re supporting me, that they’re there for me, that they’re wishing me luck and hoping the best for the Oklahoma Sooners. I mean, that’s a great thing.”

With Alabama no longer in contention for a National Championship this year, it is nice that Crimson Tide fans have a familiar face they can continue to root for who is.
