Jadeveon Clowney Returning To Seattle Seahawks
Jadeveon Clowney is returning to the Seattle Seahawks, it would appear. Whether it is by choice or not is unclear.
Heading into the offseason, Clowney envisioned himself getting a $20 million per year contract from someone in need of defensive support. That market simply has not materialized for him.
As Jadeveon Clowney continues to wait, I’m told he’s considering options, including a potential shorter term deal w/ a chance to re-enter market in a year or two. Many people around league expect him back in Seattle. A $20M price tag has been steep for teams, per @diannaESPN

According to ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, Clowney’s asking price is simply too high for most organizations. What does that mean, big picture? It means that there is a very good chance returns to Seattle.
The Seahawks got Clowney in a trade with the Houston Texans last year. With the top overall selection anchoring their defense, the Texans went 11-5. In the process, he recorded 31 tackles, a pair of scores and four forced fumbles.
With him back in the picture, the Seahawks should be a formidable force in 2020.
