Allen Iverson is one of the most beloved players in NBA history. His run to the NBA Finals with a terrible Philadelphia 76ers team is widely regarded as one of the most impressive, herculean efforts of that generation.
This week, Iverson appeared as a guest on the All The Smoke podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.

While on the show, Iverson took a moment out to aggressively curse out a sports personality he had serious beef with.
“It’s one guy, I know you know who I’m talking to,” he said.
“I know you hate me and trust me I don’t hate nobody. Yes I do, I hate you… The way you hate me, motherf***er I hate you too.”
Iverson didn’t stop there, though.
“I’m not mentioning your name because I don’t want the whole world to know I gave you that type of love,” he continued. “You and your daddy. The both of you.”

Iverson was quick to point out that he was not talking about Skip Bayless, prompting Twitter to go into full detective mode.
Jason Whitlock proved to be a popular guess.
For those wondering who Allen Iverson was talking about in that “All The Smoke” interview going viral, this is a column Jason Whitlock wrote about AI in 2009 for FOX Sports… 👀 pic.twitter.com/CRME0tqoFM

Jason Whitlock: “Allen Iverson, to me, confused a lof of these young NBA players into thinking they were selling hip hop records instead of selling basketball.”
AI is 100% talking about Whitlock here. Whitlock is a sellout and quite possibly the worst “sports analyst” ever. https://t.co/j99kJLxiC8

Was Iverson really talking about Whitlock? Until he comes out and answers that question for himself, we may never really know the answer.
But it certainly looks that way.
