How Urban Meyer’s Wife, Daughter Celebrated His 1st Win (Video)

Urban Meyer earned his first ever win as a professional NFL head coach on Sunday in a thrilling back-and-forth battle with the Miami Dolphins.

Ultimately, kicker Matthew Wright came up huge for the Jaguars when it mattered most — hitting a game-winning 53-yard field goal as time expired.

Not only did the Jaguars emerge with their first win of the season as a result of that kick, but they also snapped a 20-game losing streak — the second-longest streak in the Super Bowl era.

While Meyer was no doubt thrilled to finally get the winless monkey off his back and come away with a victory, nobody was happier than his family at home.

The video speaks for itself:

Why is this notable? Because just a few weeks ago, Meyer found himself engulfed in a pretty brutal scandal.

Essentially the Jags coach was filmed in a bar, getting very touchy-feely with a blonde that was not his wife. Making matters worse was the fact that alternate angle footage of the incident showed him really shoving his hand somewhere it shouldn’t have been.

Meyer’s wife ultimately came out with a fairly blunt response to the situation, as did his daughter.

Because of everything that had transpired recently, many wondered where Meyer’s relationship with his family currently stood.

Based on the celebratory video, however – it’s clear everything is fine.

Big picture, it will be interesting to see where Meyer goes from here. There has been a lot of chatter about how Jaguars players had lost faith in him and how ownership was turning on him. If he can string together some solid winds, though – it wouldn’t be all that shocking to see that perception change in a hurry.

  1. You know, we do not have the whole story. Urban is a good coach as is proven. Typical though the sports talking heads like the drama even if it is at a families demise. I challenge someone to follow them around and you are sure to see skeletons. He made a bad decision and I am sure regrets it. Clearly his family loves him and they will be fine no matter how the talking heads take jabs.

    1. Yeah I’m a sucker for leaving people alone and letting their families get on with it I really think on a professional level he would be happier at USC and I think that would be a great job for him and I do feel that he would lead them to at least one national championship people say oh nobody will hire him now All they’ve got to do is put a strict morals clause in his contract and then I think USC would hire him I’m not saying that he cut and run from this but I just it would be cool to see him at USC
