ESPN says Ohio State jumping LSU makes no sense whatsoever.

With the college football season winding down, College Football Playoff rankings are beginning to carry an increasingly important amount of weight.

On Tuesday night, the committee surprised a lot of people when they jumped the Buckeyes over the Tigers due to their victory over Penn State.

Although LSU is still undefeated, the committee noted that Ohio State is a more complete team, whereas LSU is overly-reliant on its offense.

While some agreed with this take, others namely multiple people at ESPN, thought the committee was wrong.

During an appearance on Get Up this morning, former Michigan star Desmond Howard shared his reaction.

“LSU just blew out Arkansas. Ohio State just struggled against Penn State – the closest margin of victory they’ve had – but we’re going to flip-flop Ohio State over LSU. It just doesn’t make any sense,” he said.

While Howard many not like it, it is difficult to see a scenario where Ohio State falls off from its No. 1 spot.

If both the Buckeyes and Tigers win out for the remainder of the year, then the rankings will likely remain exactly what they are.
