Earl Thomas And Wife Nina Getting Divorced

Earl Thomas And Wife Nina Getting Divorced

Earl Thomas and his wife Nina are headed for divorce after a very topsy-turvy year. According to court documents filed by Nina on Nov. 3, the grounds for the split is “adultery” and there is no “reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

As recently as last month Earl dedicated a loving message to his wife on social media, but it appears it was too little too late.

Last April, the pair was involved in a messy, embarrassing incident that made a lot of headlines. According to multiple reports, police responded to a situation at a Texas Airbnb where they reportedly found Nina wielding a weapon.

As per the police officers’ recounting of events, Nina was “chasing a shirtless black male, later identified as Earl Thomas, with a pistol.” Apparently, she had previously investigated his social media profiles and learned of a special “meeting” involving him at a rented Airbnb.

Nina subsequently tracked him down and discovered him at the location in bed with his brother Seth and another female.

At that juncture, Nina grabbed Earl’s gun with the goal of intimidating him, but had it seized and taken away.

The officers later wrote in their reports that Nina was under the impression that she had secretly removed the gun’s magazine and posed no threat to her husband, but was “unaware that the gun had a round in the chamber.”

Disaster in that instance was narrowly averted.

The pair spent the next few months attempting to work through their issues. For Nina’s birthday, Earl sent her an extremely heartfelt message on Instagram.

“Just want to take the time to wish the woman who I can talk to in the middle of the night … who has accepted who i am through it all and has helped me grow in so many ways .. I hope you enjoy what I’ve planned for you bae…. 31 is going to be your best year yet … I love you wife.. HAPPY 31st Mrs Thomas,” he wrote.

Despite this grand overture, it appears that there was no fixing this relationship.

Off-the-field proclivities notwithstanding, Earl currently finds himself without a team after his messy break-up with the Baltimore Ravens earlier this year. There was some chatter about him possibly landing with the Dallas Cowboys or Houston Texans, but so far nothing has materialized on either front.

Obviously there’s still a month and a half left in the year and anything can change, but at the moment it’s looking like 2020 won’t be a banner year for Earl when he looks back on his life.
