Eagles’ Dallas Goedert Gets In Man’s Face, Pays The Price (Video)

Eagles’ Dallas Goedert Gets In Man’s Face, Pays The Price (Video)

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert got violently knocked out last June at a South Dakota bar.

This week, some additional clarity emerged on what transpired leading up to the confrontation and what that means for all parties involved.

In video obtained by TMZ Sports, Goedert can be seen getting into a bar patron’s face prior to getting absolutely rocked by a ferocious punch.

In the clip, as per TMZ, Goedert can be seen seemingly putting his finger on a man’s chest, walking him backwards and then apparently getting in his face. After a brief pause, he then seems to do it again – this time seemingly pushing him backwards.

Suddenly – boom.

For what it’s worth, Goedert’s representatives have consistently maintained to TMZ that he was not the aggressor in this situation and merely trying to diffuse the confrontation.

Prior to this most recent video emerging, a different clip made the rounds online – one that painted Goedert in a much more positive light.

The incident in question happened at the Zoo Bar in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The man who ended up punching Goedert, Kyle Hadala, was arrested and charged for assault. He subsequently pled not guilty and went on to argue intensely that he was simply defending his friend.

“They picked out my smaller colleague from the group, got in his face, and made very threatening remarks toward his personal well-being,” Hadala told TMZ Sports last July.

“Then one of his crew told my other colleague, and I quote, ‘You’re just a fat f**king pussy. I’ll beat the s*** out of you.'”

One way or another, this is an extremely messy and unfortunate situation for Goedert to be a part of. Best case scenario he was simply rocked by some stranger at a bar while not asking for it, and worst case scenario he started something he ultimately couldn’t finish.

By any objective measure, the 25-year-old is staring at a lose-lose.

Speaking of losing – Goedert and the Eagles are getting really good at that this year.

So far this season Philly is 3-5 on the year and barely holding on to first place in the train wreck that is the NFC East.

Through five games played so far in 2020, Goedert has recorded 18 receptions for 186 yards and one touchdown.
