Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been having a rough week.
Just days after it came out that he sustained “substantial injuries” in a domestic assault incident with his wife, more bad news surfaced.
Instagram model Vanessa Chantal recently took to social media to seemingly out the Steelers backup for requesting she return the $20,000 in gifts that he allegedly spent on her.
The exchange largely speaks for itself:
Meanwhile, Haskins’ wife Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins has been charged with battery and domestic violence resulting in bodily harm after the pair’s alleged altercation on July 3 at The Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas.
This obviously isn’t what Haskins wanted to be in the news for at this juncture in his career. A 2019 first-round pick by the Washington Football Team, he was forced to sign a one-year deal with the Steelers last January in hopes of reviving his NFL career after his original squad gave up on him.

Although Haskins is objectively extremely talented, an assortment of issues have followed him around for years. Between unfortunate strip club controversies, various misbehaving and puzzling mental deficiencies – it has just been one thing after another for the 24-year-old.
Many hoped that this would be the season when he finally put everything together, but the 2021-22 is getting off to a rough start for Haskins too.
