Drew Brees Has Message For Little League Champs River Ridge
Drew Brees has a special message for the Little League champs from River Ridge, Louisiana.
Brees, the star quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, is an extremely beloved figure in the Louisiana community.
As such, he has been known to reach out to the public whenever something special happens within the state.
That is exactly what happened this weekend, when the Little League team from River Ridge, Louisiana, defeated Hawaii 9-5 to win a national championship.

In response to the victory, Brees sent them a special message by way of the Saints’ social media channels.
“Hey team of Louisiana, River Ridge,” he began. “You guys have made us so proud, congratulations on winning the United States championship. I know you guys play for the big one, the world title, against Curaçao.

“Man we are cheering for you guys, I will be with my boys watching you guys, cheering you on, can’t wait to watch it. Do your best and have fun, never quit, just know how proud we are of you. We love watching you boys play.”

Next up, River Ridge will take on Curacao for the Little League World Championship on Sunday.
