Draymond Green’s strained relationship with the Memphis Grizzlies is a matter of public record.
Because of the rivalry that exists between his team and theirs, he has a lot of foes on the other side.
None of them is greater than Dillon Brooks.
This week Green took aim at Brooks on his podcast.
“If you ever wonder why the Memphis Grizzlies is not ready to compete for a championship, look no further than this idiot right here. They’re actually depending on this guy to help them win a championship.”

“They’re actually depending on this guy to help them win a championship, and he says his game is cool. Quite frankly, that just shows how little you know about basketball. And yet y’all run around talking about a dynasty? The dynasty starts after you, not with you.”
Yikes.
This has been a crazy week for Green. Between that ugly in-game incident between him and teammate Jordan Poole and now this clash with Brooks, it has just been one beef after another.
Part of it is because Green is just that kind of personality – he invites conflict. The other part of it is just bad luck.
It will be interesting how his schtick is ultimately received by the Warriors come season’s end.

Last year, when they won a championship – a lot of his sins were forgotten and forgiven.
There may be less patience this time around.
