DK Metcalf’s girlfriend Normani’s wild video caused something of a stir this week.
Last week the Seattle Seahawks earned a nice little 24-13 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in preseason action. Both of the team’s primary offensive stars in quarterback Geno Smith and Metcalf didn’t participate.
Although Metcalf wasn’t playing – that didn’t stop him from finding himself in the headlines.
Specifically, Metcalf began to trend over his girlfriend Normani’s wild video that recently set the internet ablaze.

Metcalf is one of the league’s more popular personalities, as proven by his recent Russell Wilson-Ciara comments blowing up, so reactions to the video poured in immediately.
Folks took to social media to respond.

Metcalf’s relationships being a top story isn’t new. Between his notable dating history and that one time he got called out over a foursome, the man’s love life has been a mainstay in the news cycle for many years.
Big picture, the Seahawks surprised a lot of people with how they well they played in 2022-23. The departure of Wilson was supposed to signal a looming rebuild for the organization.
Instead, Smith took the baton from Wilson and ran with it. The end result? An unexpected playoff appearance for Seattle and a three-year, $105 million contract extension for Smith that will see him get $52 million guaranteed.
Expectations will be higher this time around.
It’s also worth remembering, the Seahawks went 9-8 last season. If not for the Green Bay Packers choking against the Detroit Lions in that final game of the year, they might not have made the playoffs.
No wonder Canada’s players looked so distracted out there. https://t.co/qcTpzDqzqB

Fortunately, Seattle did upgrade the roster a bit in the offseason. Dre’Mont Jones, Julian Love, Jarran Reed and Bobby Wagner will all bolster the defense.
On offense, the Seahawks have Smith coming off a campaign that saw him pass for 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns and boast a 100.9 passer rating. Between him and Metcalf, with the latter posting 1,048 yards and six touchdowns on 90 receptions in 2022-23, there is enough firepower there to make some noise.
What will the Seahawks ultimately be able to accomplish in 2023-24? Time will tell, but either way, Normani will probably make it a point to come watch Metcalf in person at least a few times throughout the year.
