Danica Patrick is widely recognized by the sports community as a pioneer in auto racing.

She is without a doubt the most successful woman to ever participate in open-wheel racing and, as a result, went down as one of the most influential female athletes of her generation.

Unfortunately in recent years Patrick has become defined online more so by her former relationship with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers than a lot of her accomplishments.

Part of this has to do with her being so openly sad about their break-up. Between that, how happy Rodgers seemed to be about the split and the seemingly shady way in which Rodgers and his current fiancée Shailene Woodley got together – this proved to be a gossip story for the ages.

And then of course there was that awkward period of time when Patrick tried to show the world just how over Rodgers she was when she clearly wasn’t.

Fortunately, it looks like Patrick is moving on. This week she posted photos to Instagram of herself with her new boyfriend.

Understandably the photos immediately went viral:

Based on all the rumors coming out about Rodgers and Woodley right now, it’s safe to say that Patrick may have dodged a major bullet by getting off that train. She seems to be in a much happier (and healthier) place than she was this time last year.

Being part of a more balanced relationship no doubt helped that to no small degree.

Patrick had a great 2021. Hopefully 2022 proved to be an even better year for her now that everything seems to be in balance as it pertains to all facets of her life.
