It was more of the same this week.
On the heels of the Blazers’ 122-103 loss at the hands of the Utah Jazz, Lillard got brutally honest about his team’s title hopes.
Needless to say, he wasn’t very optimistic.
“When we play against the top-level teams, we don’t play well,” Lillard said.

“We get put away. At Phoenix, we got put away. Tonight, we got put away. At Denver, we got put away. Milwaukee at home, we got put away. Clippers, got put away. I mean, you know, it’s not like a small sample size.”
This isn’t the first time Lillard has kept it real about Portland’s title hopes.
One way or another, the Blazers will need to figure out how to win against good teams. And if they don’t, things could get ugly in a hurry for them.
