Dabo Swinney Loses Another Clemson Star To Transfer

Dabo Swinney lost another Clemson star to transfer this week.

Wide receiver T.J. Chase revealed on Monday that he was entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.

As a grad transfer, he will be eligible to play at his next destination.

Chase came out of high a major star. He was a four-star recruit from Florida and expected to make an immediate impact.

Upon arriving at Clemson, Chase redshirted in 2016 and served as a backup in the subsequent three seasons.

Over he course of this time with the Tigers, Chase recorded 206 yards and three touchdowns on 25 receptions over the course of 41 outings.

Last season, specifically, he amassed 70 yards on seven receptions.

It remains to be seen where Chase will ultimately transfer to.

An announcement on that should come at some point in the next few weeks.

Clemson is fresh off a defeat in the National Championship Game to LSU.

Despite that, Swinney’s group is expected to start next year as the number one team in the nation in the polls.
