Paul Finebaum Predicts Winner Of LSU vs Clemson
Paul Finebaum predicted the winner of LSU vs Clemson ahead of Monday night’s big game.
Heading into the college football National Championship showdown, Finebaum appeared on ESPN’s First Take to offer his analysis.
The SEC expert gave a lot of thoughts on what he believed would transpire in the title game before finally settling on a prediction.
Finebaum believes that LSU will win. And if Coach O’s squad wins in dominant fashion like Clemson did last year against Alabama, Finebaum thinks this LSU team will go down as an all-time great.

“Maybe. It looks like they have been. Statistically, they have done everything right,” Finebaum said. “Especially, I think if they do to Clemson what Clemson did to Alabama [in last year’s national championship], I think it will make it an easier argument. I don’t think it’s a difficult argument if they win 20-17.
“This has been going on now since the second or third week in the season. They had to climb the final mountain with Alabama, and once they did that, the record started to come into focus. …I think I would be prepared to do that.”
Will LSU be able to get the job done and live up to expectations? We’re just a few hours away from getting a definitive answer.
