The LSU vs Clemson winner is obvious, according to bettors.
Coming out of the first week of the College Football Playoff, the big question everyone had was who looked better.
On one hand, LSU absolutely dominated Oklahoma 63-28. And that came on the heels of emerging victorious from arguably the hardest regular season schedule in the country.
Then again, Clemson is the defending champ for a reason. After going undefeated all season long, the Tigers came out with a gritty win over a tough Ohio State squad.
So who who will ultimately win out when LSU and Clemson clash?
Betting on national championship game continues to be lopsided on LSU:
• 79% of bets, 81% of money wagered on LSU at Caesars Sportsbook.
• 82% of bets, 89% of money wagered on LSU at William Hill books.— David Payne Purdum (@DavidPurdum) January 7, 2020
According to bettors, the answer is LSU.
ESPN gambling insider David Payne Purdum recently revealed that LSU was the overwhelming favorite when it came to betting – taking 82 percent of the wagers. Furthermore, more than 89 percent of the money that is being gambled is being put on LSU.
Less than a week out from the big game, LSU is a six-point favorite in most sportsbooks.
Will Clemson be able to shock the gambling world? We’ll get our answer once and for all come January 13.
