Georgia Football Star Refusing To Play In Sugar Bowl
A Georgia football star is refusing to play in the Sugar Bowl.
Offensive tackle Andrew Thomas announced on Tuesday that he will forego his remaining eligibility and enter the 2020 NFL Draft.
As a result, he will skip Georgia’s fine game of the season: a Sugar Bowl showdown against Baylor.
Many NFL Draft experts anticipate that Thomas will be selected in the top 15.
The Bulldogs star is often credited for his superior footwork and dominant stature.

“Since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of playing in the National Football League,” Thomas wrote on Twitter.
“Today, I’m taking a step to turn that dream into a reality – I will be foregoing our upcoming bowl game and my senior season, and will be declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft.”
Thomas’ absence will be a huge blow for the Georgia offensive line. D’Marcus Hayes figures to be his likely replacement, but it is doubtful that he will be able to be the immediate difference-maker that Thomas is.
Will Georgia ultimately be able to overcome the loss of Thomas? We will find out once and for all come January 1.
