Florida State Set To Hire Lane Kiffin?
Is Florida State set to hire Lane Kiffin after Willie Taggart’s abrupt firing?
The Seminoles opted to part ways with Taggart on Sunday following a humiliating 27-10 defeat to rival Miami.
Despite Taggart only being with FSU for 21 games, it was becoming apparent that this divorce was inevitable.
Florida State is now 4-5 on the season and looked primed to fail to make a bowl game yet again.

“I think very highly of Coach Taggart and wish him well, but in the interest of the university we had no choice but to make a change,” Florida State University president John Thrasher said.
“We will support our student-athletes in every way and do all we can to return to the winning tradition that is Seminole football.”
According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Florida State raised upwards of $20 million in donations for Taggart’s buyout.
The question now becomes: who will the Seminoles replace him with?

Kiffin, of course, has been at FAU since 2017.
He went 11-3 in his first year, 5-7 last year and is 6-3 this season.
Other names like Kentucky’s Mark Stoops, Minnesota’s P.J. Fleck and Iowa State’s Matt Campbell have also been floated as potential candidates.
Will Florida State really hire Kiffin? It seems like unlikely – but stranger things have happened in college football.
