Notre Dame Cheerleaders’ Wild Photos Go Viral Before Navy Game

Notre Dame’s cheerleaders caused something of a stir this weekend ahead of their school’s college football game against Navy.

Saturday marked the first weekend of the season for the Fighting Irish. To commemorate the occasion, they headed to Dublin, Ireland, to face off against the Midshipmen.

While everyone was excited to see how Marcus Freeman would fare in his second year at the program, that wasn’t the only reason Notre Dame found itself trending.

A series of social media photos featuring Notre Dame cheerleaders blew up online Saturday morning as well, causing a massive stir in the process.

In a week where an Alabama cheerleader already set the internet ablaze with her provocative photos, it’s telling how much more popular Notre Dame’s cheerleaders wound up being.

Nobody can compete with the love that fans have for the Fighting Irish – be it their players, coaches or cheerleaders.

That aside, the looming 2023 season will be a fascinating one to keep an eye on.

Obviously Freeman’s first year in the post-Brian Kelly Era didn’t go as planned. Notre Dame often struggled against halfway decent competition.

That said, this is a new season.

With JD Bertrand and the defense boasting a lot more experience this time around, some of the issues that plagued the Fighting Irish in 2022 hopefully won’t repeat themselves.

Similarly, Sam Hartman won’t waiver in the face of pressure in 2023. He has some big receivers to throw to and a reliable running game.

This is a very balance squad, any way you want to look at it.

Will the Fighting Irish contend for a College Football Playoff spot this season? Probably not. But they will keep things respectable all year long, and they will definitely give Notre Dame’s cheerleaders plenty to cheer about on a weekly basis.
