Deion Sanders Dumped Longtime Girlfriend For Model? (Photos)
Deion Sanders has had a busy year. It started with him going on an epic run as Colorado’s head football coach in the beginning of the 2023 college football season, only to then rapidly come back down to earth.
Over the past few weeks not only did Sanders see his Buffaloes limp to a 4-8 record, but he has also experienced a glut of decommitments and transfers among his players.
In addition to all that, Sanders has gone through some turmoil in his personal life, too. Last week, it was revealed that Sanders and his longtime girlfriend, Tracey Edmonds, had broken up.
“To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love,” they wrote in a joint statement.
“We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared together.
“Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH!”
Naturally, people wondered what led to a pair that had been together since 2012 abruptly calling it quits.
According to MTO.com, Sanders allegedly dumped Edmonds for model Qiana Aviles – who is in her 20s. The Colorado coach, meanwhile, is 56 years old.
Aviles is a pretty prominent figure on social media.

Sanders has had a big year. Between his handsy encounter with Molly Qerim of First Take, Erin Andrews dressing up as him for Halloween, and just the topsy-turvy ride the Buffaloes went on in 2023, it was one thing after another.
Based on that, it will be interesting to see what happens to both him and the program in 2024.

As far as his purported romance with Aviles and whether or not she is really the reason for his break-up with Edmonds, time will tell if any of the parties involved opt to offer some clarity on the matter.
Sanders is the face of Colorado football program. How he opts to wield that power for the foreseeable future will be interesting to watch.
