BYU QB Jake Retzlaff Accusations Take A Dark Turn

BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff currently faces serious allegations as a woman has filed a civil lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault. The lawsuit, submitted to the 3rd District Court in Salt Lake County, details an alleged incident from November 2023 at Retzlaff’s apartment in Provo. According to reports, the woman and Retzlaff had been communicating on social media for several weeks before the alleged assault occurred.
The accuser, identified in court documents only as Jane Doe, claims the interaction began when she visited his residence with friends to play video games. The situation allegedly escalated when they were alone, despite her expressed unwillingness to engage in sexual activity. Following the alleged assault, the woman reportedly sought medical attention where evidence was collected and documented, including a rape kit examination and photographs of injuries. To date, no criminal charges have been filed against Retzlaff, who is a prominent athlete at Brigham Young University, an institution affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
